How long do The Panoramics play for?

The set is approx 2 hrs 15 minutes not including a half-time break.

How many are in the band, and what instruments do you play? 

We are a totally live four piece band.
We use Bass, Drums, Keyboards and Guitars. Three of us sing.

Is the line up always the same? 

Yes, we have a fixed line up.  The guys you see at our showcase will be the guys who turn up on the night.  Of course, sometimes people get sick or can't make a wedding for a good reason, but this is very rare, and we have an experienced lineup of trusted deps who can step in at short notice if needed.

Do you travel outside of Dublin?

Yes. We travel nationwide, but it may incur extra costs.  Sorry!

Do you have insurance?

Yes.  The Panoramics have full Public Liability insurance.

Where can we see you?

Sometimes (when we have the time!) we will play a showcase gig in the Leinster area. We will keep you updated on the banner of this website and on instagram/facebook.

Do you need a Booking Fee?

Yes. We require a €250 booking fee to secure your date.

Do you take provisional bookings?

Unfortunately, we can’t pencil you in.  Your date is only secure when we receive a booking fee.

Do you offer a midweek discount?

Yes. We offer a discount for Sunday (apart from bank holidays), Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights.

How long does it take you to set up?

 It takes about 40 minutes once we have all the equipment in the room.

Can you set up before the meal?

Setup before the meal can be arranged for an extra fee, although in most cases it’s not necessary.

There is a natural gap after the meal and speeches, during which most guests will want to stretch their legs and hit the bar. This is when we take the opportunity to set up.

I’m worried that the music will be too loud, can you turn it down?

Yes. We are very careful about how loud we play. We try to aim all our sound at the dance floor, so that your guests elsewhere in the room don’t have to shout to be heard.

Some guests can be very sensitive to any loud noise (an acoustic drum kit is quite loud by nature!), in which case they would be better off sitting further towards the rear of the room.

If you feel at any point that we are too loud, we will always turn down.

Can the band play our first dance?

We have a long list of first dance suggestions for you to choose from. However, if you would like us to play something that is not on our list, we will do our very best to learn it for you. We need at least 1 month notice of your song choice.

Do you play waltzes?

Yes we can play waltzes, most of the time they are not required but if you want them please do let us know.

Can I select the bands set list?

In general it is best to leave the music selection to us. Our job is to keep the dance floor full, and we know what works! However, you can let us know if there are any songs in particular you really do or don’t want us to play.

Do you let people get up and sing?

This is something that can be pre-arranged with the Bride or Groom if they have a singer or musician in attendance.

Can you provide the DJ?

Yes we can provide the DJ service as soon as the band finishes for an extra fee. It kicks within seconds of the band finishing.

Our DJ and use the bands high quality PA / Lighting systems.  Booking our DJ means only one set of speakers / equipment in the room on the night, which looks a lot better.

How long do you DJ for?

The DJ can play for as long as you like but 2am is the usual end time.

Can I pick a playlist for the DJ?

Yes. We encourage you to give us a list of songs you like, so we can incorporate them into the DJ set.
